24 Hour Service Station distributed artist Brooklyn Rider reached a special goal today when their album Dominant Curve topped the Amazon sales charts for Classical Music. Their album was Number 1 on the Chamber Music chart, and Number 3 on the overall Classical chart. The quartet is currently on tour in Southeast Asia with Yo-Yo Ma, and recently performed a feature showcase for NPR at SXSW in Austin, TX. Congratulations to their label In A Circle Records and members Johnny Gandelsman, Colin Jacobsen, Eric Jacobsen & Nicholas Cords.

Tanya Donelly, vocalist for indie legends Throwing Muses, Belly & The Breeders contributes her voice to the A-Side of this EP, while Django Haskins of NC band The Old Ceremony sings the B-side. Includes remixes from author Rick Moody (The Ice Storm / Garden State), Berlin-based producer/musician Mount Sims & Pharmatronik. POCKET, aka Richard Jankovich, fronted electro pop group Burnside Project. His latest project is a series of singles with A-Sides featuring a "Dream List" of legendary vocalists to collaborate with. Each EP includes mixes or versions by producers from across the spectrum of music, such as Styrofoam, Justus Köhncke & GD Luxxe.

There are THREE POCKET releases for spring! Available March 9th are "A Force of Nature" featuring vocals from the legendary Mark Burgess of Chameleons U.K. & "Backwards From Ten" featuring a hypnotically mesmerizing incantation from Danny Seim of Menomena, and on April 6th we release the final disc in the POCKET Singles series, "Jars Of Fireflies" featuring a charming & enchanting vocal from Belly, Throwing Muses & The Breeders chanteuse Tanya Donelly. The EP also includes remixes from author Rick Moody (Garden State & The Ice Storm), Mount Sims & Pharmatronik.

Today, February 20th 2010, would have been Anthony H. Wilson's 60th birthday. The founder of fiercely independent English label Factory Records was the impetus for Marshall Dickson to establish his American label, 24 Hour Service Station. In honor of this special occasion, a 32 track collection of New Order covers is being released: Ceremony - A New Order Tribute. Two additional collections of songs not included on the two CD set are being made available via Digital release, Ceremony - The Digital Album & Twelve Versions Of Ceremony.

Former New Order bassist Peter Hook, a patron of the charity this release benefits, The Sallford Foundation Trust's Tony Wilson Award, says:


“To see so many indie bands interested in replicating the work of New Order as a tribute to Tony and to help raise funds for Salford Foundation Trust so that it can continue its fine work with young people is just fantastic. Through the Trust’s Tony Wilson Award, young people can access grants that can help them to pursue music, drama, dance and the creative arts."
